How to Use the Rack Roller Mini with Your VelociRAX Bike Rack

Watch how easy it is to use the Rack Roller Mini with your VelociRAX vertical bike rack:

Mounting the Rack Roller Mini:

Remove all bikes from your VelociRAX bike rack. The Rack Roller Mini is optimized for moving an empty VelociRAX bike rack, not for supporting bikes during transport.
The Rack Roller Mini attaches to the bottom of a VelociRAX bike rack using two hooks that connect to the damper spacers. Align the bottom hole of the Rack Roller Mini with the safety pin hole on the bike rack.
Remove the safety pin from the bike rack, slide the Rack Roller Mini forward until the hooks engage the damper spacers, then rotate it to align with the safety pin hole.
Reinsert the safety pin and turn it 90 degrees to secure the Rack Roller Mini. No tools are required for this process.

Removing the Bike Rack from the Vehicle:

Use the standard lift-off method: place both hands on the bottom bar of the bike rack, position your head behind the top bar, and pull the rack out of the vehicle’s hitch receiver.
Set the rack on the ground with the Rack Roller Mini attached. Do not let go of the rack, as it may tip over despite being able to stand on its own.
Place a foot on the bottom of the Rack Roller Mini and pull the rack away from the vehicle to stabilize it for movement. Make sure to keep a hand on the rack at all times before and during transport to ensure the rack’s stability.

Moving the Rack to the Garage:

Always keep a hand on the rack to prevent tipping.
Roll the bike rack using the Rack Roller Mini, which moves smoothly over surfaces like driveways and garage floors.
Position the rack near a garage bracket (ideally mounted 61.5 inches from the floor to the bottom of the bracket).
Back the rack as close as possible to the wall, keeping a hand on it for stability.
Align the bike rack’s baskets with the garage bracket hooks.
Step on the Rack Roller Mini’s step plate while pushing the rack forward to lift it onto the garage bracket. The step plate’s spring mechanism keeps it in position, making it easy to step down fully when mounting the rack.

Removing the Rack from the Garage Bracket:

Place both hands on the rack’s baskets and step on the Rack Roller Mini’s step plate. The step plate’s spring keeps it in a convenient position when moving the rack from the garage to the car.
Push the rack slightly toward the wall, then lower it to the floor as you step down fully.
Scoot the rack away from the wall, keeping a hand on it for stability, and roll it back to the vehicle.

Attaching the Rack to the Vehicle:

For hitches 15 inches or lower, use the “tilt and push” method: tilt the rack up and push it into the hitch receiver without lifting.
For hitches taller than 15 inches, use the standard lift method: hold the bottom bar, position your head behind the top bar, and lift the rack into the hitch receiver.
Secure the rack by replacing the safety pin. To remove the Rack Roller Mini, pull out the safety pin, rotate the lever back, and detach it from the bike rack.
Store the Rack Roller Mini in the garage. The Rack Roller Mini is lightweight, compact, and designed for easy storage.

Does the Rack Roller Mini Work With Other Bike Racks?

NO. Specially designed to work with VelociRAX Max and Original VelociRAX vertical bike racks, the Rack Roller Mini specifications are only suited to VelociRAX bike racks. DO NOT USE with other bike rack brands.
